What we do
Bidu Chandan Trust for Tribal Self-Empowerment was created in Palashbani, a rural tribal village, to promote the socio-economic and political empowerment of tribals, especially women, through mobilization, community building, and self-sustainable development. It has been created in response to the plight of the tribals, especially tribal women, who, despite shouldering the entire responsibility for the family, have little access to education and no role in public life like the Gram Sabha. Since we cannot achieve much of our own, we would collaborate with other NGOs already existing and working with similar objectives.
